A new Chapter

Well Princess and I have started a new chapter. We are making good time traveling. Sunday night we called it a night at a place called Kekabeka Falls. Bob and i have stayed here a few times. It is fun to travel through the northern tip of Ontario and think wow that has changed, etc. Bob and I have done this route that it is a trip that we can do without any map or Garmin. I am really impressed with myself I recognize a lot of the area, so I guess I don't sleep all the time we travel..
Princess is a great companion to travel with, I take the time to stop every 3 hours to give her a walk about and stretch my legs. Fill the van up with gas. I try to keep it at the 1/2 tank level. Once it hits the 1/2 tank I fill it up. It doesn't seem to cost as much...This morning before we leave I will try to get some pictures of the Falls.
So it is time to get showered and re-loaded...take Princess for her walk and hit the trail...Manitoba next stop for the night...

Finally

This is my newest card from my Big Sister on the Splitcoaster site. I have recieved 3 cards from her and the most adoreable little purse thingy. I don't know if it is suppsoe to be a cat or a dog, but I am going with a dog...I love to recieved mail from my Secret Sisters, it is so much fun going to the mail box and finding a card from her. Now that I finally figured out how to post again I can get my Blog caught up..
Well it is offical we do have a new house in Alberta. The builders should have the cupboards installed and the flooring is all done. The Real Estate agent who is handling this place called last night and informed us they would like to show this place today at 1 ish.. I explained that there where a lot of boxes laying around but that is the way it is. How exciting to moved lock stock and barrel all across the country. Of course all of family and friends know how we move and the weight of our stuff, so we are looking into a moving company. Let them do all the work. we just pack our undies and hit the road. So we will see the cost of it, compared to hiring someone to load a truck and drive it out West.
So I'll post more later. I have finnaly got my scales to move and I have to do my exercises. It was very discouraging for a month when they only went down 1.5 pounds. But now hopefully I am over that hurdle...

Got Lost

I am sorry I have not been keeping my blog up, but I did have a very good reason. I lost my password. Okay I forgot it. After so many tries you get blocked out, so finally I found my magic book with all my passwords in it. I do admit to age affecting my memory so I make sure I have a book with all my craft passwords etc in it.

Well we soon will be back on the road again. A new adventure and now we have Princess to keep the Gnome company. Although the Gnome is a little ticked at us, as he has been left behind. We must find a better way to fix him, his head keeps falling off.

This summer was a awesome time, we got to meet new relatives at the Island. Uncle Bev's son who was given up for adoption was welcomed into our lives. What a joy to meet him. It is strange that you can see so much of Uncle in him. Along with him he has a beautiful wife Clair and 4 great kids. Welcome to our crazy family.

This past weekend we had a lovely time at our nieces wedding in Dresden Ontario. It is so much fun to remember her as a young lady who I meet 16 years ago. Now she is married and ready to start a new chapter in her life.... So now that I can get into my Blog i will up date it more often

Wow time flys

It is hard to believe it has been almost a year since I blogged. Please forgive me. A lot has happened and life goes on. Well to bring you up to speed. Bob got a part time job at the Casino when we first returned to Ontario. It was a Contract of 6 months at a time. In May they renewed his contract. Now granted it wasn't big money only a few hours a week but it helped to pay for our bike & car insurance.( Yes we are Insurance Poor.).
Anyway the long and short of it all is they didn't renew his contract this time around. The same old story budget cuts.
So now he has become another house husband. With recipe instructions he is becoming the master chief. Let me see he has made a great tasting pot of stew, Chili and home made buns to go with both of these. We made Pizza Lasagna on the weekend and it was really good. Of course he is still the master chief on the Barby cue.
Princess Leia keeps him on the fresh air walk, of course we are lucky to have a dog that has a bladder the size of her little body. No kidding she goes out at 9 pm for her last walk and will stay in bed until 10-11 am. That little girl does not do mornings at all. You try to take her out of bed sooner than she is ready and the look she gives you....WELL....

We were sad to hear that Bobs' daughter Stephanie and her husband separated. It is sad when things like that happen especially when there are children.
Bob's son Mathew went to the Navy Boot Camp at Base Borden during the summer, it was a proud day for his father to see him all dressed in his whites on Graduation Day.

So it is time for me to get into the shower and get ready for another day of the working woman...Sucks I tell you just plain sucks......

Secret Sisters Card

In a couple of clubs I belong to we have secret sisters.
My Red Hat SS wrote down that she liked Sunflowers. So my theme for her this year is going to be All kinds of Sunflowers. Her Birthday is soon coming so I did up this card. I can not post my cards on Facebook as she is a memeber, so I thought I would share them here instead.

I cut the flowers from the Doddlecharms (Shadow) Cricut Cartridge in sizes 4-3 1/2- 2 inches. I shaded them with varoius shades of chalk. I was looking for a big orange button, but as per the Murphy's Law couldn't find one, so I just put a brown circle in the center with a bumble bee on it. I curled the leaves and botton layer outward, and the top 2 layers on the Sunflower inwards. A little poem on the inside and a fancy cut with a Martha Stewart Cutter and Viola!

Bringing The Gnome to work

Once a year employers let parents bring there children to work to see what happens in the work place. Well I don't have young children, so I took The Gnome. We all know how bossy he is so he was right in his element!

Wow My Lady brought me here. Can you imgine
how much mischief I can get into?

Now ladies I am boss today so Keri get to work counting the pills, and Bonnie check those scripts.

I guess Keri is not going to listening to me eh!

Where is my white coat? How come Bonnie and Claudia have one?
I want a white coat!

I do not fight in her ear. My Lady take me away from this human called Keri. She is doing nasty things to me

See even without a white coat I still can make sure everyone does there job.

Yep even My Lady has to listen to me

1,2,3,4, oh man now we have to start over again. Listen to me My Lady!

Yes Sweet Alice and Me. She is just the best!
