Friday 13th Birthday "Leon"

Leon Celebrate his 59th birthday On Friday the 13th.

We got a nice Ice cream Cake and Debi had invited their good friends Marna & Brian over for a Barbecue and cake. Bob barbecued with Leon's new tools we gave him for his birthday. Marna and Brian gave Leon Dollars Store money. They are rich with fake money now. Ted, Laura, Taryn,Jackson and Tate gave Poppa best wishes as they could not attend because they had a family reunion to go to in B.C. But Leon and I watched the Boys the day before and Jackson was happy to spend time with his Poppa. Debi and I spent a few hours the night before putting a memory book together for Leon of his younger years

Supper at Ted & Laura's

After supper we had Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen. Grandma Debi was giving Tate a taste. Then when she went to take a taste his head followed the ice cream all the way up. How dare Grandma take a bite?

This is Laura and Jackson. What a big smile he gives and loves his mommy.

Great Auntie Kate got to hold and snuggle with Tate. He is such an adorable little one. Chunky cheeks and so cute.

Fun with the Horses

We had to go out and check on the horses. These beauties are very friendly and like it even more if you have a treat for them. My sisters horse likes to give her hugs, and is always sucking up for more treats.





He also likes to get his head rubbed, his eyes are almost closed.

Horses are not one of Bob's fav modes of transportation. He is not afraid of them but keeps his distnace. He was more comfortable with taking pictures than petting and feeding them treats.

This is Leon's horse. Leon is the only one who can get close to the horse. Leon is still using his crutches recovering from knee surgury

Meeting the newest Great Nephew Tate

When we arrived Debi called Laura and Ted to tell them we were here. They came over for a visit. We got to meet our newest great nephew and Great Uncle Bob got to meet both children Jackson and Tate and our niece Laura for the first time. Jackson doesn't always like having his picture taken. You have to ask his permission and if he doesn't feel like it, it is a no go......

Surprise Sister

Well we managed to sneak into my sister's neighbour hood. parking our vehicles down the road, and walking to the driveway. I had called her earlier to make sure she was home. When I got to driveway I called her again, and rang the door bell at the same time. She answered the door and stood there and stared at me before she realized it was me and started to scream, yelling Leon....

finally she gave me a hug...and said what are you doing here?

Then all of a sudden she realized Bob was standing back taking pictures.
Finally I really suprised !!!

The People you Meet

We had just stopped at the Travel center after entering Alberta. Bob noticed a canary yellow Gold Wing bike and thought to himself now way could this be his friend. There was a bunch from Orillia that was riding to Alberta to the stampede and left around the same time we did. Sure enough it was the group that he rides with on Thursday nights. Al and Bob have coffee together at Donut Line every day. Al was just amazed at the size of the fields. He as driving his riding bunch crazy with his ohs and ahs.

Camping in Regina

Even when we are camping I can still check our Internet. A lot of camp grounds are all WiFi now. If you camping site isn't in the hot spot usually at the club house you can find everyone. It is funny as the camp ground we stayed at had lawn chairs and a table for the people to sit and everyone was sitting around with there lap tops and checking mail or whatever. We were lucky because our camp site was in the hot spot.

Bob cooking our supper. First he had to put together to new Barb-Que I bought for our trip, small but very practical.

I got to make breakfast, I cheated and we had oatmeal and fruit. Healthy and filling, good for a long days run. Our aim is to get to High River Alberta today. My sister does not know we are coming so this will be fun.
