Well today is officially our first day on the road. Alf is on the handle bars of my bike which is on the trailer. Tigger is riding on the back of Bob's bike. Today we didn't pay attention to the fact that it was protest day for the Natives. We did good time until we hit Espanola. Traffic came to a stop while and we waited. After sitting for over an hour the traffic started to move very slowly. Then suddenly the skies opened up and it poured down rain. Needless to say it cleared the road and traffic started to move fairly quickly. But Tigger, Alf and Bob got soaking wet. Bob was a little more fortunate as he had his rain gear on so he stayed somewhat dry.

We made good time until we got stopped just before Elliott Lake turn off. We then sat for about 2 hours. You could here the drums and the Natives singing. Finally they opened up the road and everyone got going. I managed to get a picture driving slowly past the protesters.
