Alberta Baby

Donna makes sure to post cute pics of Rory on her facebook for the family and friends to see how much he is growing. I love these pics with the cabbage patch kids..Rory is laughing and sharing a secret with his friends

Ahh...... monkey buisness it is this time...

Rory and his monkey share a secret

Before Rory came along Donna & Chris's baby was and still is Clyde. A great dame. He just adores his Rory and keeps a close eye on him.
So for Valetnines Day no pictures or story book would be complete without a pic of Clyde with his big red heart.

Clyde has to make sure that his Rory is alright.

Yes we know Rory, some day you are going to ask your momma why she did this, but just rememeber it is better than those bare butt pictures that always show up in your baby book
sometime or another.

here we go the
King of Hearts

It's not a Fat Bob!

Happy Valentines Day to me...look what I bought myself.....

It is a 2006 Vulcan Classic 900. Belt drive, leather hard bags with quick release, floor boards, heel/toe shifter. Mustang seat with a sissy bar and back rest. Studs all the way around the leather. It is a pretty blue and silver. Less than 2000k on it. Another one of those bikes that the guy buys and realizes he really wants a Harley, so he trades it in on a new Harley..

Well I did make this long with out a bike and okay Wilf you were right I did miss it. Bob and I traded our other bikes in on the Goldwing at the end of July 07.
I was thinking of the summer ahead with no bike and I felt really sad. Once you have your own bike it is kind of hard to give up that freedom. Bob was wondering how long it would take before I would miss biking.....
Harley brought out a new bike and that was what Bob had gone to the Harley Shop to see for me on his way to work. When he took me in on my next day off to see the Harleys I fell in love with this one. I know how can you pass up a Harley? Well easily when there is a difference of $17,000. For a Harley as dressed as this one is I was looking at 24,000-26,000. Sorry Harley people I didn't want to go that far into debt.

So now where is the nice weather. I am being told May long weekend around here, well if that isn't more of an insentive to go back to Ontario, longer biking season. But then again last Thursday when we were at the Harley dealers there was a biker just geting off his bike. I guess if a Chinook comes through there is no stopping the bikers. But myself I will wait. They use rocks and stones on the roads out here instead of salt.

So I did let Bob sit on the little girl. He keeps asking me If I am going to let him drive it. We will see.
He did finally get to see Harley's Fat Bob.
( But he isn't willing to give up his Goldwing for any other bike thank goodness).

Now I just have to make Alf a new outfit so he will look good sitting in his place of honour.

Fun time with the boys

The boys had a lot of fun playing with Grandma Debi's baloons. Jakson sson brought his, but Tatte had a blast chasing it around the room.

Uncle Bob holding Tatte while Grams Kate got his lunch ready. He is growing so fast and is not a fussy eater. It was harder keeping the 2 little boys filled up on good stuff.

Our Niecce Laura asked if we would take csre of Jackon and Tate. Uncle Bob and Grama Kate are a little rusty but we did fine.

Granma Kate messed up tv and Jaksosn laid on the bathroom floor to yell down at Uncle Bob that we needed him to come and fix the tv. Soon Uncle Bob was there and we managed to get the tape machime going, so we watched Pinocico and Skooby do. Ya ya..

Well they were telling us that an Artic frost was coming. Well let me tell you something. They are right. This mornings temp was with the wind chill factor -45. I'd say dam cold. People came to work and on thier lunches they would go out and start their cars and trucks.

I have to wrap a scraf around my mouth to get back and forth. The air just takes my breath away. (himm isn't there a song about that?)

Just before the artic front moved in we had a light dusting of snow and it was really pretty. So out I go in my jammies and slippers out the door to capture the snow on the trees before it all falls off.

I found some other trees around the yard that I didn't have to got far to get pictures of it.

Look what the Postman Brought

Beem me up Scotty there has to been biking weather some where........

Bob and I went to the Calgary Motorcycle show on the first weekend in January. We always attended this show in Ontario and bought our Christmas presents for each other there of thing we needed or wanted for our bikes.

Bob had been looking on line for Goldwing jackets that matched our bike. The prices were good but he held off unit we could check them out at the show. We were disappointed as the dealers had only show stuff there. Nothing on display was for sale. But we did try on jackets and got the size and the prices. These Jackets that we are wearing cost $465. each at the dealers. My thrifty hubby bought them on line at an American Outlet for $179. with shipping and customs the 2 jackets came in still cheaper than one at the dealer. He order them and they were here in a week and yes they are Joe Rocket brand The retail stores wonders why we do cross boarder shopping.

This is a front and rear view of hubby's jacket. Don't you look at his bald spot, I guess it is time for another hair cut..Off it goes

Well I am posing but I did forget to add something to my fancy attire.
OH MY GOODNESS ............

A bit Lazy

Well I have to admit I have been a little lazy on my blog site. But I have really been Busy. I joined a card swap and had to make 20 cards. Well when I got my list there were more than that so I continued. But I love it, the more cards I send out the more I get back. Wow just like Christmas cards, every year I send out about 40 cards and I get so excited when I see my mail box with cards in it. But then again I am one of those that have my cards all ready to go the 15th of November. Yep in the envelopes stamped and ready for the end of November to send them off.
Sister & I have joined a month Scrapbook club and get plenty of idea's for our scrap books. I did 2 pages last night and I can hardly wait to post the one.
It is about a Bear named Oatmeal. Oatmeal was adopted by our daughter Stephanie when she was 3. She took Oatmeal to school and love him very much. Soon Stephanie grew up married Mike and they had a little girl named Laila. Oatmeal was handed down to Laila to love and hug.

I love to take picture of the mountains and hope to be able to find those special pics to put in the scrap book for memories.

One of the joys of the country side here is the winter sports. Snow shoeing is my newest adventure. My friend took some pictures of a water line up in the Kananaski Park. It is the main line from the lake and it has area's that are not sealed tight and it leaks. These leaks freeze and form all kinds of shapes.
Well am going to go and get on my own Lap top as it has the pictures of the ice monsters and other things see ya soon.......

Happy New Year

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas....
Sister and I finally took time last night to sit down and do a scrap book page. The only time we have had a chance to do it together is at our monthly Scrapbook Classes. Which by the way she was the monthly winner last month. She got to pick $200 worth of scrapbooking stuff to add to her collection. For Christmas Bob and I gave her a large square scrap booking box on wheels. She can now wheel her stuff to the table and it is all in one space. Richard gave her a couple of cases to add to her growing collection.
Anyway back to the scrapbook session. I finished my friendship page. It is a page with my friends Arlene and Linda when they came to Orillia to see Harold's show. It is really nice and I can hardly wait to show them.
Sister worked on a page showing the grandsons touching there Papa's beard. Jackson was so amazed that it was so soft. Gently with one hand then with both he was stroking it. Mr Tate on the other hand touched once with one hand then using both hands grabbed on to his beard. Papa couldn't say to much as this took place in church. After church we got Tate to touch Papa's beard again for a photo shot.
I do miss seeing our Gran babies but this was a choice I had to make. When we planned our trip 4 years ago there was no babies. (Thanks to the wonderful world of Internet we get pics of them. Thank you so much to our daughter Stephanie for doing this for us.). My time spending with my Western family is a once in a life time event. My grandmother is 90 now and other relatives are aging quickly. Time does not stand still for anyone.
Bob has had to go on insulin for all meals now. his pancreas is slowing shutting down. Alberta is a pioneer province for Islet Transplants so we will see if he is a candidate or not.
We had a great Christmas with family and new friends and look forward to the summer to travel and explore the Western Coast. Look out BC here we come, Los Vegas and all the rest.
We hope everyone has a safe and good 2008
Happy New Year
Love
Katherine & Bob
